WildIRC IRC Network

After two years of consistent network operation, the Network Operations Department has issued some minor modifications to the network structure as well as the announcement of server closures. They are as follow:

• Solid.NY.US.WildIRC.Net has been delinked from the network due to stability issues.
• Solid1.NY.US.WildIRC.Net has been delinked due to the administrator taking the server offline.
• Gemini has been removed as a Network Administrator and relieved of his duties as Director of Network Services after two years of dedicated service to the WildIRC Network. We thank him for his service and wish him well on his future endeavors.
• The title “Department Director” has been revamped to read “Department Coordinator”
• Department Coordinator’s are no longer required to be Network Administrators.

Due to the departure of Gemini, WildIRC now consist of two Network Administrators (HollyW00d & jmrg). For clarification: HollyW00d is the Founder and Network Operations Coordinator. He oversees all general network operations and the implementation of policies.

jmrg is Co-Founder and Network Security Coordinator. He is responsible for the overall maintenance, stability, and security of the WildIRC IRC Network. He is the primary contact for all network bans and proxy bans/concerns.

Additionally, with the departure of Gemini, the Network Services Coordinator position is currently vacant. There are already plans to fill this position and to change the Department’s entire structure. Those plans are currently being implemented and more will come regarding that.
